To mark their foray into the women's lifestyle space, Sorel launched a groundbreaking collection of fashion-forward boots inspired by some of history's most badass women.
I was brought on to tell the story behind every boot in the collection. I then stayed on to craft Sorel product copy for multiple categories and seasons.
Joan of Arctic™
A modern classic, the Joan of Arctic celebrates Joan of Arc, who defended the French nation against England and was later named a patron saint of France.
Crafted from waterproof full-grain and suede leather, the high-cut upper is topped with a très chic faux fur cuff. A removable recycled felt InnerBoot protects toes down to –25º below zero, while the handcrafted waterproof shell allows you to claim victory over the elements.
Cate the Great™
Named after a Russian Empress and inspired by a pair of Cree winter moccasins, these style-savvy boots are ready to conquer the coldest days, the deepest snow, and the slickest streets.
The waterproof suede upper is stitched by hand and features beautiful faux fur around the cuff. With a plush felt InnerBoot and durable waterproof rubber shell, this is a boot that’s destined for greatness.
Helen of Tundra™
While this beautifully crafted boot may not launch a thousand ships like its namesake Helen of Troy, it will launch you into your next adventure in comfort and style.
Combining full-grain leather with soft felted wool, the waterproof upper features a full-front zipper for a snug fit that’s quick to put on and easy to kick off. For insulation, 100g Thinsulate™ and a fixed 3mm felt lining provide toasty warmth in environments both urban and wild.
Sorelia Earhart™
This travel-ready boot pays homage to American aviator Amelia Earhart – a woman who believed that “There is more to life than being a passenger.”
Inspired by a vintage U.S. Army Air Force boot, it boasts a full-grain leather and shearling upper with a faux fur lining to hold in the heat. Waterproof over-toe construction keeps feet dry on rainy-day adventures, while rubber outsole lugs keep you steady on your quest for the unknown—or the nearest coffee shop.
