Portland Pet Food Company

Project Details

Behind every product Portland Pet Food Company makes, there’s the story of a really good dog. I brought those stories to life on the company's product packaging and got to meet founder Katie McCarron’s awesome pup Tuxedo in the process.

Rosie's Beef n' Rice

Rosie the faithful poodle was founder Katie McCarron’s canine best friend. But when Rosie turned 14, she lost her appetite and could no longer chew dry kibble. So Katie researched pet food recommendations, headed to the kitchen and whipped up this nourishing meal for Rosie, who gobbled it down and kept going strong for almost three more years. Now Katie is sharing the love—and the recipe—to help your furry pal thrive.

Hopkins' Pork n' Potato

Hopkins the Springer Spaniel was one of founder Katie McCarron’s first dogs. He was supposed to be a hunter, but he preferred chasing sticks, fetching balls, and handing out slurpy kisses to family and friends. Being English at heart, Hopkins would have loved this pork and potato meal after a long day of play. Made from the finest human-grade ingredients, it features 100% pork from Cascade Natural Meats, potatoes, carrots, and other good things to fuel’s your dog’s appetite for adventure.

Tuxedo's Chicken & Yams

Tuxedo, the devoted Llasa Poo, is a small but mighty force in founder Katie McCarron's life. He loves to watch TV, chase postal people, and snuggle with his favorite humans. Tuxedo is especially crazy about chicken, so Katie created this tasty meal as a healthy way to satisfy his canine cravings. Tuxedo gives it two paws way up; we think your dog will too!

Gluten-Free Bacon Biscuits

We think dogs with allergies deserve delicious treats too. So we created these scrumptious biscuits using gluten-free garbanzo flour from our friends at Bob’s Red Mill. That gets blended with large chunks of savory bacon, because according to our trusted canine sources, dogs love bacon even more than people do.

Feeding Guidelines

We bake our biscuits twice to create a light, crumbly texture that’s ideal when chewing is a challenge. Feel free to break them into smaller pieces for use as a training aid or reward.
